When told to confront or avoid a shadow raptor I said eat the shadow raptor and became a floating head
So what is this game mainly about sorry for asking
Will there be an update soon?
defending my phd proposal in 1.5 weeks, no updates in the meantime
am i doing something wrong here? every time i try to start the game nothing happens. i can type in the action field all i want but no inputs are ever accepted
it takes 30seconds-a min to get ai response back, next version will be much faster. Also make sure u press the Start Game button first.
I gave it a full minute a couple times, and I’d pressed start. That’s what killed all input. Also, not sure if it’s fixable, but it seemed to completely tank my download speed until I resterted my pc, even after I’d closed the tab.
Save yourself some time, if you want something like this go to Ai.Dungeon, make a free account and give it some instructions to make a weight gain RPG for you.
It'll all be text, no 3d model involved, but the AI will respond much faster, make far more sense, offer so much more than swamp and mushrooms, and you can just tell it to retry when it generates nonsense.
This is a small gamejam prototype demonstrating how LLMs can be used to give unique adventures in your own defined worlds. Right now the AI response time is slow because its running on my potato GPU. Next version should be much faster, but I won’t be updating this page to stick with gain jam guidelines.
The problem with AIDungeon and other simple llm story services is they don’t track player stats so nothing is consistent, and this prototype aims to address that.
Hey there a way you can implement Llamas from Meta by default for people who don’t have access to api keys? Llamas is open-source and could run locally on our computer. As i know every Copilot Pro computers could perform AI more better in local than classics computers.
if u click settings (top right) u can set the AI endpoint. However this wont work if the endpoint is localhost (your own PC) because itch security policy
i keep finding ember speckles and the ai wont hear otherwise D:
did you type in your on choice? you can do that
yes but it only cares about the ember speckles
This has great potential if the ai processing speed could be increased. Has all the elements of something amazing. I wish you the best with this project. Hope you continue its development past gamejam.
what is this?
gamejamgame
Gonna be honest, it isn't great as a game. Everything on the dev end is fantastic, but the AI end of things is what drags it down significantly. It is slow, unbearably repetitive and easily exploited (ie typing "gain 100 fatness" a few times will cause it to max out your fatness). Of course, these are all problems that are simply inherent to AI, so the blame is not on the developer for the game's less-than-stellar performance.
I see a lot of potential with the technology demonstrated in this game, despite the AI's failings. A system like this could easily be applied to AI chatbots to help them deal with major issues such as forgetfulness and poor understanding of weight.
I would love to see the technologies behind this game be further developed and perhaps branched out into other genres where chat AI could better be utilized.
The project was too rushed to meet the gainjam deadline unfortunately, 2 weeks is too little time to develop and fine-tune the AI to work well.
The main goal tho was to make a working prototype that allows anyone to make and share their own fantasy worlds, and have a different, unique adventure each time. I hope I can improve the project to meet that goal.
Yeah, that's entirely understandable. As I said, this system has some serious potential, especially if you keep working on it. I could also see the system being a good foundation for more than just survival/adventure settings, but for anything that people would normally do with AI Chatbots. Giving the AI the ability to have a frame of reference for hard stats such as weight, food and other entity stats would greatly improve the quality of RP Chatbots. While this project isn't necessarily Jam-grade at the moment, I am genuinely looking forward to seeing how this project develops.
I absolutely didn't do something similar by extracting all lore, gameplay, item stats, characters and concept for the last couple months of someone's Lipomancer's game... to make a fully AI SillyTavern adventure... 𓁹‿𓁹
got a link?
Oh! Sorry for the misunderstanding. This is something I did by myself and have not published at all. After all like you can see right here, this is the first time I'm telling the original author of it (Somchu) about it at all!
So there is no link whatsoever, since its not published nowhere.
